Sales Development Officer

Context:

Hex-Rays was founded in 2005 to provide a solution that improves digital security and responds to the rising cybersecurity threats that are increasingly affecting both public and private entities.

Fully independent from any governmental agencies and stock market pressures, Hex-rays is renowned for developing the state-of-the-art binary software analysis solutions used for reverse-engineering, hostile code analysis, and vulnerability research.

Under the coordination and in close collaboration with the Managing Director, the Sales Development Officer (SDO) will participate in the development and the diffusion of the best sales practices within the company. He/she works in close partnership with the two sales officers and the marketing team.

Mission:

The Sales Development Officer is responsible for analyzing our customer base and current sales strategies; identifying and proposing opportunities to increase sales and profitability. We seek a candidate who is creatively-minded and able to think outside the box when it comes to our customers and their needs. The Sales Development Officer should be able to both generate leads and close the deals. The SDO will contribute to the definition and implementation of the inbound lead generation strategy. In the first phase, he/she will aim to increase the sales volume with the existing customer base while he/she will be looking for expanding the customer base of the company in a second phase.

Main tasks:

  • Analyze the current customer base to identify potential sales opportunities.

  • Build strong relationships with customers (B2B & B2C) to retain and develop their business.

  • Analyze and determine criteria for successful leads qualification in order to identify which leads are not likely to buy and those that are likely to purchase in the near future.

  • Nurture leads that are in the sales and marketing funnel in a way that warms them up and qualifies them for a sale transaction.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and peers on the sales, marketing, and product development teams to improve overall customer experience and satisfaction.

  • Look for new opportunities (internet, listing, networks, …).

  • Generate new leads that suit our products and fit within our ideal client personas.

  • Ensure customer relations from the start-up phase to delivery as well as after-sales follow-up.

  • Depending on the situation, close the deals directly or interact with the sales officers to close deals.

  • Capitalize on good practices and propose improvements to current processes.

  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports.

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field.

  • Equivalent experience in related fields acceptable as well (five-plus years in a sales or business development environment).

  • Solid knowledge of sales techniques and principles

  • Experience in sales for a software company is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers from various levels.

  • Critical thinking skills, analytical, organized.

  • Creatively-minded, good at thinking ‘outside the box’.

  • Excellent selling, persuasion and negotiation skills

  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales

  • A commitment to excellent customer service.

  • Language: English is a must

Software Development Manager

Context:

Fully independent from any governmental agencies and stock market pressures, Hex-rays is renowned for developing the state-of-the-art binary software analysis solutions used for reverse-engineering, hostile code analysis and vulnerability research.

The Software Development Manager (SDM) will coordinate a team of 7 highly-skilled software developers who are designing and developing the best-in-class binary code analysis products (IDA Pro and Decompilers).

Mission:

The Software Development Manager will ensure the development team is able to work as efficiently as possible, with clear goals in order to attain business objectives.

The SDM will set goals, accompany and coach team members on best practices and processes. He/she will also support developers in their tasks and act as an enabler: identifying the possible blockages and the best ways to respond. Under the supervision of the CEO, he/she will contribute to innovation while inspiring those around.

The SDM will be the liaison with other departments (sales, marketing, support…​) and will communicate with them proactively. He/she should perform closely with developers and other stakeholders throughout the company to influence product development assisting or improving products.

Main tasks:

  • Manage and execute software development projects from beginning to finish.

  • Coordinate, develop, manage and prepare best software development team.

  • Delegate to our developers but not afraid to get his/her hands dirty when necessary.

  • Encourage team members to share feedback and ideas, and empower them to realize these suggestions.

  • Facilitate and coordinate team collaboration but also with other departments (sales, marketing…​).

  • Establish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices.

  • Evaluate projects, develop and update schedules, supervise and communicate on project status.

  • Lead development team delivering highly reliable applications that meet Hex-rays’ standards and objectives.

  • Ensure the products always respects Hex-rays’ quality standards. Monitor and identify any product breakages in order to bring rapid fixes.

  • Strong leadership presence, with strategic planning and execution skills.

Candidate profile:

  • Hands on management & leadership approach

  • Solid experience running medium to large complexity delivery efforts.

  • Management experience over technical staff. Demonstrated success in the ability to hire, lead, coach and grow highly-skilled software developers.

  • Expert knowledge of software engineering.

  • A team player who is able to identify the blockages, the need for help and determine how to support the best the team.

  • Ability to successfully communicate with the team, delocalized team members but also business partners.

  • Strong innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate technical discussions and drive solutions forward to achieve business needs.

  • Experience defining and driving process improvements.

  • Ability to handle difficult concepts.

  • Strong experience with C++, Python.

  • Knowledge of agile development and continuous integration.

  • Familiarity with the modern software development practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master in computer science or a related field experience is required.

  • Have experience in managing and coaching and in leading a software development team.

  • Successful track record in a software development company.

  • Proactive and enthusiastic you are willing to engage and contribute to the development of the company.

Software Developer

We are looking for someone to join our team and participate in the development of unique software security tools. The candidates must know low-level details of modern software as well as high-level data structures and algorithms.

Requirements:

  • A strong knowledge of C/C++
  • Knowledge of x86 assembler and unwillingness to use it in development
  • Experience of cross platform development (Windows/Linux/Mac) is a plus
  • Knowing graph theory and how compilers work is an advantage
  • Ability and willingness to write secure yet fast code
  • Good problem solving and communication skills
